Leslie Craven’s unique design 18 key Sonoro hard rubber (N.B. not plastic or ABS) C clarinet: has the same tonal depth and silky smooth emission of sound as the Bb and A Craven/Sonoro clarinets and like the Bb & A is hand tuned by Leslie Craven to A440 or A442 with custom barrel and bell available and can be tuned to those specific barrels and bells ideally with a Craven mouthpiece. Alternatively if you have a favourite mouthpiece Leslie can tune the clarinet to that for you.
Mechanically robust and virtually silent in operation this C clarinet will deliver totally professional sound. Useful in many scenarios, the C clarinet is used extensively in folk music, can take the place of oboes in chamber music or in context of Symphonic use and Opera, has considerable repertoire where the sound and light agility of the C is desired by the composer.
